Huntington Beach library votes serve as warning to MAGA council Photo: OC RegisterVoters just told the self-described MAGA wing of the Republican Party that has total control of the Huntington Beach City Council to stop the culture war with the city library. In a summer special election, voters turned out, and by 58 percent ordered the council to get out of the library book censorship business. More than sixty percent also said don’t try to privatize the city library.
A good message for San Clemente City Council members, some of whom have a penchant toward MAGA culture war issues such as immigrants, masks, abortion and pangas. Stick to city business.
