A new candidate who managed to collect more than $50,000 is attorney Theresa Spahn. In fact, she now leads Councilman-at-large Doug Linkhart.
Fundraising is only one part of the contest, but it can purchase considerable name identification and early favorability. Since Romer has high-name identification due to his father, having raised nearly a half million dollars makes him frontrunner.

Seeing Theresa's name on that list makes those of us who know her so proud! If you've met Theresa, you know she is smart, energetic and ABSOLUTELY the right person to lead Denver as Mayor!!!
Theresa Spahn doesn't need high-name recognition or a lifetime in politics for Denver Citizens to realize she is the best candidate for Denver Mayor. As an outsider to politics, she has a fresh perspective and the executive experience our great city needs. Theresa Spahn has my vote!

Theresa Spahn is the most interesting candidate to run in this election. She is the one candidate that can unite the Parties and Independents who want a competent and skilled Mayor. The positive buzz surrounding her candidacy is well deserved.
