I will be investigating a battleground Republican congressional district over Labor Day (it’s on the beach). It is very likely to shift to the Democrats – California’s 49th CD Darrell Issa’s open seat. Seeing the likely outcome, Issa retired.
FiveThirtyEight (Nate Silver) rates it 74.91 percent likely Democratic win (Mike Levin is the Democratic nominee).
