President in Town
Nice change of the news narrative from everybody out-of-town to President shoots rack of pool. But for Udall, this visit became a major public relations bust with huge local and national negative press on “avoiding the president.”
Conservative Conference
Congratulations to John Andrews and Bill Armstrong. Their Western Conservative Summit has been growing with each annual event and is now positioned to track what may be a very good Republican political year in Colorado and the U.S.
“Nationally, one of the most important things a party can do is come up with new ideas to attract voters,” said local political consultant Floyd Ciruli. “A lot of the intellectual work being done now is as much with an eye toward being organized for 2016 as 2014 and uniting different segments like the Tea Party and the rank-and-file. And this summit is definitely becoming a player in that — this year's event is an A-list of conservative thinkers.” (Denver Post, Anthony Cotton, 7-9-14)
Sarah Palin
It’s also a jumping off idea factory for the 2016 presidential race.
Sarah Palin
Impeachment is a really dumb idea, but Sarah gets a headline. Obama will just become a victim and Republicans will get tromped in the latest version of a no-win government shutdown.
