It has been pointed out the spread of medical marijuana has contributed to its acceptance for recreational purposes. Use of marijuana also affects decriminalization attitudes. Americans under 50 years old are far more likely to claim use.
Use has remained the same for some time, but with high levels among voters under 50, combined with the view enforcement has failed, legalization support is up.
