Colorado is Fulcrum of Presidential Election

Colorado is the state in the closest political balance approaching the 2012 presidential election.  Although Barack Obama won it by 9 points in 2008, the Republicans took much of it back in 2010, except a Senate race, which the Democrats clung to by 2 points, or 40,000 votes.

The Buzz will provide ongoing coverage of the presidential election from the perspective of the 12 western states in the continental U.S.  Colorado occupies the center, with Arizona, Montana, New Mexico and Nevada closely clustered around it.

FOX News is beginning to focus on western battleground states.
